Job summary

Talantir is hiring an Assistant Controller and Cost Accountant to lead accounting operations and financial reporting. The role will supervise cost accounting, oversee month-end closes, and partner with FP&A to drive budgeting and forecasting.

A strong background in NetSuite and US GAAP is required, with 5+ years of accounting experience. The position is remote with a salary range of $145,000–$155,000 plus bonus depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• 3+ years cost accounting in manufacturing environment.
• Experience in NetSuite inventory management (preferred).
• CMA or CPA preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel and Word.
• Ability to effectively meet scheduled and ad-hoc project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions including accounts payable, equity, payroll, general ledger, cost accounting and revenue recognition.
• Direct month-end and year-end close processes for accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and distribute monthly consolidated financial statements and analytical reviews.
• Analyze variances and provide insights to improve financial performance.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts with FP&A.
• Manage submission of documentation to third party tax accountants for filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
• Strengthen internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
• Direct annual external audits with outside CPA firm.
• Manage accounting team to meet job requirements.
