SEH is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our Finance/Accounting team in a remote role open to most US states. You will lead all accounting operations, guide the annual audit, and partner with leadership on financial strategy and reporting. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA certification (active or inactive) required.
• Experience as Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller.
• Experience with annual financial statement audits.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage and develop accounting teams.
• ERP and Excel proficiency; ability to leverage systems to improve processes.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Proactively evaluate emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes, advising leadership on impacts.
• Build and maintain relationships with external auditors to support audits and controls.
• Manage treasury activities including cash positioning and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and policies.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Partner with operations and leadership for budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• Lead, develop, and mentor accounting staff.
• Collaborate with Controller on financial strategy and process improvements.
• Remote opportunity open to candidates residing in the majority of US states.
