Job summary

NOCTI/NBS seeks an Assessment Development Coordinator to manage assessment development across programs and partners. You will facilitate SME workshops, coordinate timelines, translate expertise into content, and ensure accuracy and fairness of assessments.

The role is full-time and primarily remote, with occasional onsite meetings at NOCTI/NBS HQ in Big Rapids, Michigan, plus travel to partner sites as needed. Apply by Friday, September 4, 2026.

Qualifications

  • Experience in assessment development, education, workforce development, or a related field.
  • Experience with industry, skilled trades, CTE, credentialing, or occupational assessment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate assessment development and maintenance activities, including timelines, documentation, deliverables, workshops, and project tracking.
  • Organize and facilitate SME workshops and review activities, guiding discussion and keeping work on track.
  • Translate knowledge, skills, standards, and performance expectations into assessment blueprints, test items, and related materials.
  • Review assessments for accuracy, relevance, fairness, and consistency using data, psychometrics, pilot results, and feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to clarify needs, coordinate solutions, communicate progress.
