Job summary

State of Wyoming's Department of Education seeks an Education Program Consultant to implement the statewide assessment system, focusing on the state alternate assessment, ensuring federally approved assessments that support instruction and provide reliable data. The role manages timelines, facilitates statewide committees, and supports districts with professional development.

The candidate will lead on test infrastructure, data analysis, and communications, requiring strong written/oral skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education (or closely related field).
• 1–2 years of progressive work experience in Education or Instruction with the level of an Education Program Specialist, or 4–6 years with substitution.
• Experience with assessment systems, state or federal accountability requirements, and data analysis to support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with regulations and provide feedback to districts or sub-grantees.
• Identify problems and devise solutions.
• Disseminate trends by presenting at meetings, workshops, and conferences.
• Plan strategic cross-agency collaboration and new program implementation.
• Plan and conduct workshops and trainings on state and federal programs.
• Ensure compliance and monitor expenses to meet project goals.
• Oversee state and federal reporting requirements.
• Support research design, data analysis, and large-scale assessment development.
