Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking an experienced ASL Interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation across education, medical, legal, and community settings. You will interpret for one-on-one, group, and virtual contexts, using VRI when needed, while upholding confidentiality and RID standards.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a relevant degree, and RID/BEI/CDI certifications. On-call availability and travel to on-site assignments are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting in education, medical, community, or legal settings.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or related field preferred.
• Must hold RID, BEI, or CDI certifications.
• Fluency in ASL and English; adherence to RID code of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one, group, and virtual or in-person meetings.
• Facilitate communication across education, healthcare, legal, and community settings.
• Utilize VRI and other tech for remote interpretation when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality per RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Collaborate with Deaf individuals and staff to ensure effective communication.
• Travel to on-site assignments as required.
