Job summary

Engage Hospitality, based in Alameda, CA, seeks an Area Sales Manager to drive direct sales for our hotel portfolio. The position is remote with local travel to properties and events, requiring an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to grow accounts.

You will work with on-site teams, prepare proposals, and cultivate corporate, leisure, entertainment, and agency accounts. A BS/BA is preferred and at least two years in hotel sales; MS Word and Outlook proficiency is expected along with strong

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a hotel sales capacity.
• Proficient in MS Word and Outlook.
• Ability to deliver a high level of customer service, build relationships and close profitable sales leads.

Responsibilities

• Direct sales efforts for select-service, upscale and boutique hotels managed by Engage Hospitality.
• Interact with on-site managers, reservations, operations, and accounting to achieve budgeted results.
• Solicit new accounts and maintain existing accounts in respective markets.
• Prepare and follow through on projects assigned by executive leadership.
• Input account information into the database with follow up and tracing.
