Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Mid-level Archaeologist III to join our Cultural Resources team in New Mexico. This is a regular, full-time position reporting to the Cultural Resources Team Manager with potential to serve as Field Director or Principal Investigator.

The Archaeologist will lead fieldwork, prepare comprehensive reports, and contribute to proposals and client engagement as the practice grows.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or related field.
• 4 years of relevant archaeology experience or equiv. of education/experience.
• Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork in NM and Southwest.
• Valid driver's license required and able to pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Lead fieldwork including survey, testing, data recovery, and monitoring.
• Coordinate staff contributions for technical reports to meet regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and manage project data, budgets, and proposals.
