AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Archaeologist III to join the Cultural Resource team in New Mexico. This full-time role reports to the Cultural Resources Team Manager and may serve as Field Director or Principal Investigator, conducting fieldwork across New Mexico and potentially other southwestern states.

You will prepare comprehensive reports and analyses and contribute to proposal preparation and client engagement.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or a closely related field.
• 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in historic and/or prehistoric archaeology and cultural resources management.
• Must be willing to travel and conduct fieldwork throughout New Mexico and the Southwest.
• A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsabilités

• Leading fieldwork (survey, testing, data recovery, and monitoring) and GIS mapping.
• Authoring and coordinating staff contributions for technical reports to meet regulatory requirements.
• Gathering data for technical reports and analyses.
• Working independently and under supervision of senior staff.
• Supervising personnel in field, office, and laboratory settings.
• Leading or assisting with project management, scopes, and budgets.
