Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Principal Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead complex cultural resources projects across the Southwest and nationwide. Based from a local ERM office with potential for remote work, this senior role offers mentorship, project leadership, and business development in a national practice.

You will supervise archaeologists, ensure NEPA and regulatory compliance, and manage budgets and schedules across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field.
• 8+ years of professional archaeology and cultural resources experience.
• Secretary of the Interior-qualified archaeologist and RPA.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and client engagement skills.
• Experience with NEPA, agency reports, and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for cultural resources projects.
• Manage teams, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Support business development and client relationship management.
• Mentor archaeologists across varying levels of experience.
