Job summary

Anne Arundel Dermatology is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist (AR Specialist) to join our Revenue Cycle team. This remote position handles insurance follow-up, denial resolution, appeals, and collections for open accounts receivable, focusing on denials, EOBs, and payer communications to maximize reimbursement.

Ideal candidates will have experience with insurance denials, denial trends, modifiers, and coding-related issues, and can work independently in a remote setting while

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare accounts receivable or revenue cycle.
• Ability to resolve insurance denials and analyze EOBs/remits.
• Remote-work capability with productivity expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance follow-up and collections on open AR.
• Identify root cause of denials and coordinate with clinic/management for improvements.
• Communicate issues to management and develop solution approaches.
• Review claims, edit for billing compliance, and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage work lists, generate reports, and handle high-priority inventories.
