Anne Arundel Dermatology is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. This remote role handles insurance follow-up, denial resolution, appeals, and collections for open AR.

Ideal candidates will have experience with insurance denials, EOBs/remits, and payer communications to maximize reimbursement, while working within residency requirements for PA/MD/VA/NC/TN/GA/FL. The position pays $19-23/hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in healthcare accounts receivable or revenue cycle.
• Experience identifying and resolving insurance denials (eligibility, authorization, medical necessity, coding-related).
• Ability to manage an individual work queue meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Knowledge of denial trends and payer-specific billing requirements.
• Experience with government and commercial payers.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance follow-up and collections on open accounts.
• Identify root causes of denials and coordinate with management for process improvements.
• Communicate issues to management and develop solutions.
• Review accounts, adjudication, and contact patients for needed information.
• Edit claims to ensure compliance for electronic submission.
