Anne Arundel Dermatology is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. This remote role requires residency in PA, MD, VA, NC, TN, GA or FL and offers a pay rate of $19-$23 per hour with standard business hours Mon-Fri.

You will handle insurance follow-up, denial resolution, appeals, and collections for open AR. The ideal candidate will analyze EOBs, work with payers, and identify denial trends while maintaining timely and accurate communication with the

Competenze

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare accounts receivable or revenue cycle.
• Experience identifying and resolving insurance denials, including eligibility, authorization, medical necessity, and coding-related denials.
• Ability to manage an individual work queue while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Working knowledge of common denial trends, including modifier-related denials and payer-specific billing requirements.
• Strong understanding of insurance denials, appeals, and claims follow-up processes.

• Responsible for all aspects of insurance follow-up and collections, including making telephone calls and accessing payer websites.
• Identify root cause issues for denials and coordinate with clinic/management for process improvements.
• Owns performance and ensures timely communication for issues affecting reimbursement.
• Resolve complex or aged inventory with payment research and documentation of collection activity.
• Review account information to determine the next appropriate work activity.
• Verify claims adjudication utilizing appropriate resources.
• Initiate contact with patients to obtain necessary information.
• Edit claims to meet billing guidelines for electronic submission.
• Manage and maintain work lists and high-priority inventories.
• Stay informed of changes with insurance procedures and payer rules.
• Communicate issues to management and develop solutions.
