Anne Arundel Dermatology is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. This remote position handles insurance follow-up, denial resolution, appeals, and collections for open accounts receivable.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in healthcare AR, experience with denial trends, EOBs/remits analysis, and communication with commercial/government payers to maximize reimbursement. Residency in PA/MD/VA/NC/TN/GA/FL is required.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in healthcare accounts receivable or revenue cycle.
• Experience identifying and resolving insurance denials, including eligibility, authorization, medical necessity, and coding-related denials.
• Able to manage an individual work queue while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Knowledge of denial trends, including modifier-related denials and payer-specific requirements.
• Experience with government and commercial payers; analyzing EOBs/remits and claim details.

Aufgaben

• Perform insurance follow-up and collections, including calls and payer portal access.
• Identify root causes of denials; categorize reasons and coordinate with leadership for improvements.
• Own performance; ensure timely communication for issues affecting reimbursement.
• Resolve complex/aged inventory with research and documentation.
• Review account information to determine next work step; verify adjudication.
• Initiate contact with patients to obtain missing information as needed.
• Edit claims to meet billing guidelines for electronic submission.
• Maintain work lists, generate reports, and manage high-priority inventory.
• Stay informed on procedures and laws for payers; communicate issues to management.
• Other duties assigned by management.
