Job summary

Leidos is seeking an AR/AP Manager to lead the accounts receivable and accounts payable teams, ensuring scalable processes, strong internal controls, and SOX compliance. The role partners with Finance and Operations to drive cash management and financial reporting excellence.

The successful candidate will balance hands-on leadership with strategic process improvement, oversee a period of growth, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to optimize end-to-end workflows and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with AR and AP
• Public accounting experience preferred, with complex corporate environment
• Strong internal controls, SOX compliance, and GAAP understanding
• Experience leading accounting teams through change and growth
• ERP implementations, ledger migrations, or business integrations

Responsibilities

• Lead AR and AP functions, including team performance and workload management
• Develop scalable AR/AP processes to support growth and SOX controls
• Establish SOX-compliant internal controls and segregation of duties
• Lead workstream for ledger migration and business integration
• Manage cash collection, aging, bad debt, and working capital
• Oversee vendor management, invoice processing, and reconciliations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve end-to-end processes
• Develop metrics and reporting for AR/AP performance
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation
