Job summary

Leidos is seeking an AR/AP Manager to lead the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams within the Entrust Accounting Organization, ensuring SOX-compliant controls and accurate financial reporting. You will drive process improvements, manage a ledger migration/integration, and partner with Finance, IT, and Operations to scale the business.

The role requires strong AR/AP experience and GAAP knowledge, with the ability to influence through change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience across AR and AP.
• Public accounting experience preferred in a complex corporate environment.
• Experience leading and developing accounting teams for multiple functions.
• Strong understanding of SOX, internal controls, segregation of duties, and GAAP.
• Experience with ERP implementations, ledger migrations, or business integrations.
• Knowledge of AR/AP processes including cash collections and month-end close.
• Excellent communication and leadership through change.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee AR and AP functions, including team performance and workload management.
• Develop and improve scalable AR/AP processes for growth.
• Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls and segregation of duties across AR and AP.
• Lead AR/AP workstream for ledger migration and business integration.
• Manage integration plans for AR/AP during expansion and system implementations.
• Improve efficiency through automation and standardization across AR/AP.
• Oversee cash collection, AR aging, bad debt management, and working capital.
• Oversee AP functions: invoicing, vendor management, payments, accruals.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Operations, IT, and Procurement to optimize end-to-end processes.
• Establish performance metrics and reporting for AR/AP.
• Support month-end and year-end close with reconciliations.
• Serve as a liaison with internal and external auditors.
• Develop a high-performing team through coaching and succession planning.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual steps and errors.
• Proactively identify risks and design remediation plans.
