Job summary

Leidos is seeking an AR/AP Manager to lead the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions within a growing organization. This hands-on role balances operational execution with strategic process improvement to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong cash management.

You will drive SOX-compliant controls, oversee a high-performing team, and partner with Finance, IT, and Operations to scale the ledger during a major migration and integration effort.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with AR and AP.
• Public accounting background preferred with complex corporate environment.
• Experience leading accounting teams and multiple functions.
• Strong SOX, internal controls, segregation of duties, and GAAP knowledge.
• Experience designing and implementing processes and controls in growing organizations.
• ERP implementations, system conversions, ledger migrations, or business integrations.
• AR/AP processes including cash collections, aging, vendor payables, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and deadline management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead through change and organizational growth.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic and operational AR/AP functions, including team performance and workload management.
• Develop and improve scalable AR/AP processes for growth.
• Maintains SOX-compliant internal controls and segregation of duties.
• Lead AR/AP workstream for ledger migration and integration projects.
• Manage integration activities for business expansion and system implementations.
• Improve workflows to increase efficiency, automation, and control effectiveness.
• Lead cash collection, aging management, and working capital improvement.
• Oversee vendor payables, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
• Collaborate across Finance, Operations, IT, and Procurement to optimize end-to-end processes.
• Establish KPIs and reporting for AR/AP (aging, collections, processing times).
• Serve as primary contact for auditors, with documentation to support SOX and reporting.
