Job summary

Kala Talent is seeking an AR/AP Assistant to support U.S.-based finance, handling accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping. The role requires accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage high volumes of transactions while coordinating with vendors, manufacturers, logistics partners, retailers, and e-commerce teams.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of accounting experience, familiarity with US GAAP, and proficiency in Excel/Sheets.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
• Experience with US-based companies or knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience in a CP,G, e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, or product-based business is a plus.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Process and code vendor invoices and other accounts payable transactions.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and receipts.
• Maintain records of vendor bills, payment status, and balances.
• Prepare customer invoices and track accounts receivable across channels.
• Monitor overdue receivables and follow up on balances.
• Record and reconcile payments received and made.
• Assist with bank, credit card, and platform reconciliations.
• Support reconciliation of e-commerce transactions with records.
• Maintain organized records for vendors, customers, invoices, and receipts.
• Assist with month-end close by preparing reconciliations and schedules.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve them with vendors or internal teams.
• Work with operations and logistics to resolve billing issues.
• Support cash flow tracking and provide information on payables/receivables.
• Assist with general bookkeeping and finance admin tasks.
