Ladder is seeking a Security Engineer/Analyst to own application security vulnerability management within our development lifecycles. You will work closely with engineers in a fast-growing fintech environment, focusing on a shift-left security approach and practical risk decisions.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in software/cybersecurity, strong JVM experience, cloud security ops, and relevant certifications. The role supports remote work within eligible US states and offers extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on in JVM environments; reading/understanding functional code.
• Experience securing modern cloud infrastructures and incident response.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic environment with root-ccause thinking.
• Baseline certifications: Security+; CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion application security vulnerability management with development teams.
• Configure and monitor cloud security posture and respond to real-time threats.
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for architectures, vendors and APIs.
• Maintain workspace security: IAM, device compliance, productivity tools.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and secure default settings.
