Ladder is seeking an Applications Security Engineer to drive vulnerability management across our development lifecycles. The role emphasizes hands-on AppSec with a focus on a Clojure-based backend, code review, and shift-left security practices in a fast-growing life-insurance tech platform.

You will partner with engineering teams to triage and remediate vulnerabilities, monitor cloud security, support audits, and mentor teams on secure coding. This is a remote role within one of 23 U.S.

Formación

• 4+ years in software security or cybersecurity.
• Hands-on JVM experience and reading functional code.
• Experience securing cloud infrastructure and incident response.
• Autonomous thinker who designs scalable security frameworks.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Secure the codebase by triaging vulnerabilities and guiding remediation.
• Monitor cloud security posture with SIEM/SOAR tools and respond to threats.
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for internal architectures and vendors.
• Protect the workspace with identity access management and device compliance.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and secure defaults.
