Job summary

Ladder seeks an Applications Security Engineer for a remote role based in one of 23 U.S. states. You will own application security vulnerability management within development lifecycles, focusing on a Clojure-centric stack and shift-left security.

You’ll also monitor cloud security, respond to alerts, and support audits while collaborating across teams. You should be organized, proactive, and capable of communicating with management and auditors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity
• Hands-on in JVM environments and with functional code
• Experience securing cloud infrastructures and incident response
• Certified at least with CompTIA Security+; CISSP preferred

Responsibilities

• Champion application security vulnerability management with development teams
• Monitor and respond to threats using cloud security tools
• Conduct security risk reviews of architecture, vendors and APIs
• Maintain workspace security including IAM and device compliance
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and secure defaults
