Job summary

Mesilla Valley Transportation is seeking an Application Administrator to maintain, configure, and ensure stability of selected COTS applications. You will provide second-level support, monitor performance, coordinate with IT teams, and document processes.

The role also involves training staff, implementing automation, and assisting with testing and deployment of upgrades. Remote options are available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT related field or relevant work experience.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience (Preferred). An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Basic certifications (Preferred) - A+.
• Experience with RingCentral a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level support for application-related issues, including troubleshooting, triage, and resolution of incidents.
• Monitor application performance and respond to alerts or notifications.
• Coordinate with technical support, server administrators, network administrators, and others as necessary to resolve issues.
• Create and maintain internal documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Conduct technician training sessions for applications, new features, or updates.
• Investigate and diagnose problems, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for application processes, procedures, and performance.
• Implement automation and scripting for routine tasks to improve efficiency.
• Perform routine updates and patches under supervision.
• Document processes and procedures related to application management.
• Assist in testing and deploying new applications or upgrades.
