Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking an experienced Appian Developer to design, build, and deliver enterprise-grade applications on the Appian platform. The role emphasizes strong SQL skills, secure integrations via RESTful APIs, and collaboration in Agile and SAFe environments.

A Public Trust clearance is required for this federal contract. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Appian development experience, 5 years of overall software experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship due to Federal contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of professional experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Appian development experience (v17.x or higher).
• Proficiency in SQL and Relational Databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure complex enterprise applications using Appian components (SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Web APIs).
• Design and implement secure integrations using RESTful APIs and authentication patterns.
• Perform SQL data modeling and database design.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Appian applications for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• AI & Automation: Understanding of AI technologies and Appian AI.
