Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an Appian Business Analyst to join our team. This role partners with our Appian product teams and may engage customers to generate requirements specific to Appian applications.

The candidate will define MVPs, perform discovery, model data, and write user stories with acceptance criteria for developers and QA. Proficiency with Jira, TFS, and Github is used for project management in a remote, East Coast-hours environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in performing business analysis and refining requirements for information systems.
• Strong communication at all levels of an organization (written and verbal).
• Detail oriented with experience working on several products at one time.
• Experience with use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.
• This position is remote with ability to work east coast hours as needed. US citizenship required for clearance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Appian product teams to gather requirements for Appian applications.
• Support Product Dev Managers in defining MVPs and release plans.
• Conduct discovery workshops with customer stakeholders to collect requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and enhance product requirements and functionality.
• Prioritize features within the product roadmap with architects and PMs.
• Draft and maintain user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for dev and QA.
• Collaborate to prepare sprint plans and refine backlog items.
• Identify risks and opportunities for process improvement and data modeling.
