Job summary

Veterans EZ Info, Inc. (VetsEZ) is hiring a full-time API Platform Engineer to work remotely on a large federal government healthcare modernization project.

You will define API design standards, maintain API contracts, and enforce security practices across multiple teams focused on API management and platform engineering. The role emphasizes hands-on API management with OpenAPI specs, AWS API Gateway, Kubernetes, and CI/CD/GitOps to deliver secure, scalable APIs with reliable performance across

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a technical discipline.
Hands-on API management and security experience (AWS API Gateway, JWT).
Experience with Kubernetes, Linux systems, and containerized workloads.
Strong analytical skills to diagnose API, platform, and performance issues.
Experience with identity technologies including Active Directory and LDAP.

Responsibilities

Define API design standards and review APIs for consistency, usability, and backward compatibility
Author and maintain OpenAPI Specification contracts and govern API configuration standards
Implement CI/CD and GitOps practices, including automated configuration validation and API metering
