Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a Senior API & Cloud Platform Engineer for a fully remote role supporting a federal healthcare modernization project. You will design, develop, and support the EDAS and cloud-based integration platform to enable secure access to ILER data across VA and DoD systems.

Responsibilities include defining API contracts with OpenAPI, building cloud-native microservices on Azure, and implementing monitoring, security, and scalable integrations as part of an Agile team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field with 8+ years of software engineering.
• 5+ years building RESTful APIs and cloud-native apps on Azure.
• Strong API security design skills (OAuth2, mTLS) and OpenAPI definitions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for EDAS and TAG data products.
• Define API contracts with OpenAPI specifications and secure versioned APIs.
• Build and operate cloud-hosted services on Microsoft Azure with scalable microservices.
