Job summary

SunStrong Management, LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee the AP cycle, including vendor invoices, payments, and month-end close. You will report to the AP Manager and collaborate across departments in a remote-capable role.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AP with supervisory experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and solid knowledge of GAAP. Experience with Salesforce and FinancialForce is a plus; renewable energy space experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable and supervisory experience required.
• Experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable department.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Ability to analyze and interpret large quantities of data.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and time constraints.
• Ability to multi-task and build partnerships across departments.
• Experience with multiple legal entities and intercompany transactions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills with outside groups.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Accounts Payable department.
• Manage daily payments to channel partners and vendors.
• Manage invoice data entry into FinancialForce for payment and GL coding.
• Manage the status and assignment of partner inquiries, including pay histories.
• Manage daily cash forecast to Treasury and internal departments.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and timeliness of disbursements.
• Responsible for annual 1099 filings and accuracy of vendor master data.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and close, accrue, and reconcile accounts.
• Develop and maintain AP processes to adhere to company policies.
• Build internal and external client relationships and provide leadership to AP staff.
• Additional duties as required.
