Job summary

SOCi, the CoMarketing Cloud for multi-location enterprises, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. This role focuses on accurate vendor invoicing, timely payments, and supporting month-end close with US GAAP knowledge and NetSuite experience.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement in Canada and a base salary range of CAD 48,000 to CAD 65,000 with benefits including health, dental, and a 401(k)-type plan.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, especially around accruals, prepaids, and expense recognition.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing per POs and policies; resolve invoice exceptions.
• Maintain vendor records and verify tax/banking details.
• Prepare and run weekly payments via ACH, checks, or transfer.
• Reconcile AP subledger to GL and post accruals.
• Support 1099 reporting and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Accounting, FP&A.
• Identify improvements to AP processes.
