Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Deployment Support Technician to support AMR deployments, go-live activities, and ongoing operations in customer environments. Remote-based role with occasional on-site support near key deployment sites; travel 60-70% across the U.S.

and Canada. You will partner with Project Management, Systems Engineering, and Operations to troubleshoot, validate systems, and ensure uptime, reliability, and value realization for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Legal authorization to work in US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• Ability to travel across the U.S. and Canada (60-70% of the time).
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site commissioning and integration of AMR systems, including hardware verification, network setup, software configuration, and safety checks.
• Complete acceptance testing, document results, and help resolve readiness gaps before go-live.
• Respond to real-time issues during deployment and go-live periods through hands-on troubleshooting, log review, triage, and escalation to engineering when needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance audits, minor repairs, retrofits, and recalls on deployed AMRs.
• Deliver training to customer personnel on system operations, maintenance, and best practices.
• Coordinate with Technical Support, Field Services, and Systems Engineering team members to resolve customer issues and convey field feedback.
• Manage AMR fleet status, help track repairs, and support documentation updates.
• Communicate with customer teams, ensuring visibility into deployment status and issue resolution.
• Support after-hours or on-call coverage as required during the project.
