The University of Maryland, Baltimore is seeking an Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Officer to support annual giving, alumni relations, communications, and volunteer initiatives, strengthening connections with over 26,000 alumni and friends.

The role plans and executes campaigns, manages communications across platforms, coordinates volunteer leaders, and plans events to advance fundraising and engagement goals.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in annual giving, alumni relations, communications, marketing, event planning, or higher education advancement.
• Ability to plan and manage multiple campaigns and events.
• Familiarity with CRM and engagement platforms; strong writing and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute annual giving campaigns and engagement activities.
• Coordinate annual solicitation calendars across digital, print, and social media.
• Lead alumni communications, including newsletters, emails, and website updates.
• Manage UMSON Connect platform content and user engagement.
• Support alumni volunteer groups, meetings, and engagement initiatives.
• Assist in planning and executing development and alumni events.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and volunteers to create engagement opportunities.
• Track engagement data to assess program effectiveness and inform strategies.
• Maintain records in alumni and donor databases and engagement systems.
