Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. seeks an AI Workflow Engineer to join the Process Improvement team embedded with Treasury and Internal Audit, driving AI-enabled workflow opportunities from concept through implementation.

You will partner with business leaders to design, build and integrate Python-based solutions, APIs, and orchestration patterns across cloud platforms, while ensuring governance and regulatory alignment in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or related field or equivalent work experience required.
• Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with security, compliance, and legal teams to ensure workflows adhere to healthcare regulations and internal data governance standards.
• Design and integrate AI components with internal systems, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Build and configure AI-enabled workflows using established design patterns, templates, and frameworks.
• Assist in adoption, training and change management to support workflow adoption.
• Troubleshoot workflow issues, identify root causes, and propose improvements.
