Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking an Artificial Intelligence & Automation Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI systems and automated workflows that improve care quality and operational efficiency for Medicare Advantage members.

You will collaborate with AI Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and clinical teams to translate complex problems into scalable, production-grade solutions, covering claims processing, prior authorization, and member communications.

Qualifications

• Professional experience with AI/ML in production cloud environments.
• Experience integrating systems with non-API and multimodal data sources.
• Healthcare industry experience or regulatory literacy is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks with hands-on project work.

Responsibilities

• Build distributed, cloud-native systems for enterprise workloads.
• Design services, APIs, and microservices that scale in regulated environments.
• Implement CI/CD, containers, and IaC across deployed systems.
• Develop ETL and orchestration pipelines (Airflow/Prefect).
• Apply AI/ML models and LLMs to production workflows (integration/serving).
• Collaborate with AI Scientists, Product Managers, and clinical stakeholders.
