Job summary

SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, seeks a Customer Service SME to support the creation of a dataset of natural, human-enacted conversations for training speech-to-speech AI agents. This remote, hourly contractor role will leverage your experience in client communication, issue resolution, and CRM workflows.

You will develop AI training content, evaluate AI responses, and help ensure model integrity across diverse support scenarios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of professional Customer Service experience with demonstrated expertise in client communication, issue resolution, and CRM workflows.
• 1+ year of AI training experience (data annotation, AI evaluation, model training, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end customer support workflows including identification, troubleshooting, escalation, follow-up, and resolution.
• Excellent spoken English C1+ (US only).

Responsibilities

• Develop AI training content by creating natural, human-enacted customer service conversations across realistic support scenarios.
• Optimize AI performance by evaluating and ranking AI responses to improve accuracy, fluency, and relevance.
• Ensure model integrity by testing AI models for inaccuracies or biases across use cases.
• Manage customer inquiries, complaints, service requests, and escalations in the remote contractor role.
