Cognizant is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to collaborate with clients and Cognizant Consulting teams to rapidly design, build, and deploy AI, data, cloud, and digital solutions delivering measurable business outcomes. You’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor on cloud architectures, enterprise integrations, and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in software engineering, solution architecture, or customer-facing roles.
• Proficient in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience building cloud-native solutions on Azure/AWS/GCP with APIs, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, enterprise integrations, and client engagements.
• Ability translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and drive from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand objectives and requirements.
• Lead discovery workshops and solution envisioning sessions.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native apps and APIs.
• Build AI/ML solutions including generative and retrieval-augmented architectures.
• Own delivery across client initiatives from concept to production deployment.
