Job summary

Gainwell Technologies LLC in the United States is seeking an AI Software Engineer to help modernize a large-scale Java-based IIS. This role blends strong software engineering with AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery and improve quality across healthcare technology solutions.

You will design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot apps, leverage AI tools like Copilot and CodeX, and collaborate with Product, QA, Architecture, and Business teams to deliver public health software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot
• REST APIs
• SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL)
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, CodeX, Claude etc.).
• Knowledge of software design patterns, testing frameworks, and secure coding practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and REST APIs.
• Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and CodeX to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and code reviews.
• Develop configurable workflows, business rules, reporting, and user-facing functionality.
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Architecture, and Business teams to deliver healthcare and public health solutions.
• Participate in modernization initiatives and adoption of AI-driven engineering practices.
• Ensure code quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
