Gainwell Technologies LLC in the United States is seeking an AI Software Engineer to help modernize a large-scale Java-based IIS. This role blends strong software engineering with AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery and improve quality across healthcare technology solutions.

You will design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot apps, leverage AI tools like Copilot and CodeX, and collaborate with Product, QA, Architecture, and Business teams to deliver public health software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot
• REST APIs
• SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL)
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, CodeX, Claude etc.).
• Knowledge of software design patterns, testing frameworks, and secure coding practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

We are seeking an AI Software Engineer to support the development and modernization of a large-scale Java-based Immunization Information System (IIS). This role combines strong software engineering skills with AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and drive innovation across healthcare technology solutions.

Your role in our mission

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and REST APIs.

What we're looking for

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Healthcare, Public Health, Medicaid, or IIS systems.
• Knowledge of HL7/FHIR interoperability standards.
• Experience with configurable or metadata-driven application frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development and DevOps practices.

The pay range for this position is $90,900.00 - $129,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
