Job summary

Lincoln Electric seeks an AI Risk and Governance Lead to establish and oversee the company's AI governance framework. You will align AI initiatives with laws, regulations, and enterprise risk tolerance, bridging Legal, ERM, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Internal Audit, and Technology teams across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience in risk management, governance, compliance, audit, cybersecurity, privacy, data governance.
• 3+ years supporting AI governance programs.
• Experience designing enterprise governance frameworks and operating models.
• Knowledge of AI concepts, Responsible AI, ERM, privacy, cybersecurity controls, model governance, AI regulations.
• Strong executive communication, influence, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to travel regionally as needed 5% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Translate evolving AI regulations and risk requirements into governance controls, standards, and procedures.
• Lead governance committees and enable executive discussions on AI risk and compliance.
• Operationalize regulatory requirements into practical controls and guidance.
• Design and implement enterprise AI risk assessment methodologies and governance controls.
• Maintain inventories of AI systems, models, and use cases.
• Establish standards for human-in-the-loop, transparency, bias testing, drift detection, and data governance.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Security, and Privacy to assess AI risk and vendor governance.
• Provide governance recommendations for high-risk AI use cases and events.
