Job summary

Cambium Assessment, Inc. is seeking a senior cybersecurity leader to drive AI governance, risk assessment, and secure development across our software, cloud, and enterprise IT programs. This role coordinates cross-functional teams to align security strategy with business goals and regulatory requirements.

You will lead efforts on AI security, privacy, audits, and compliance with ISO standards, NIST, and AI Act frameworks, delivering measurable improvements and actionable insights to executives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity field.
• Experience reviewing and advising AI/ML architectures.
• Knowledge of AI governance conforming to ISO 42001, NIST, EU AI Act.
• Experience leading cross-functional security projects.
• Experience participating in internal/third-party audits.
• Skilled in architecting cybersecurity solutions.
• Experience monitoring SOC security events.
• Hands-on software development involvement (dev/test/review).
• Risk assessments and gap analyses to reduce tech risk.
• Proven project management for technical programs.
• Strong cross-team communication with executives and SMEs.
• Ability to multitask in dynamic environment.
• Experience implementing AI cybersecurity controls.
• Experience with AI threat modeling and secure development.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI governance, risk assessments, and secure AI deployment.
• Review requirements against AI usage and regulatory obligations.
• Advise internal teams on AI security strategy.
• Plan and manage multiple improvement projects from requirements to deployment.
• Create a structure to manage AI agents and their activities.
• Automate AI governance with system management tools.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to translate strategy into technical requirements.
• Respond to information requests from executives, proposal, delivery teams.
• Support AIMS committee activities.
• Ensure programs meet ISO 42001, ISO 27001, ISO 27018, privacy laws, ISO 9001, GovRAMP, FedRAMP, NIST 800, SOC, and CIS Top Controls.
• Contribute to independent audits.
• Develop training programs and campaigns.
• Conduct internal reviews and risk assessments and report to senior management.
• Recommend programs to address security/privacy risks.
