What you'll be doing
- Leads the development, maintenance, and execution of the AI Governance operating roadmap, translating strategic priorities into actionable plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Oversees the end-to-end AI Governance review lifecycle, including intake, tiering, prioritization, review coordination, issue tracking, escalation management, and stakeholder communications to support timely and effective governance execution.
- Serves as the primary coordination point between AI Governance and adjacent functions to promote alignment and reduce duplication of effort.
- Translates complex technical, operational, and regulatory AI risk concepts into clear, actionable communications for business, technology, and risk stakeholders.
- Establishes and tracks key performance indicators, operational metrics, and program health measures to evaluate governance effectiveness, identify trends, and inform priorities and decisions. Identifies operational bottlenecks, workflow inefficiencies, and governance process gaps, and leads improvements that increase throughput, scalability, stakeholder experience, and program maturity.
- Owns AI Governance operating model, both internal stand‑ups and regular cross‑functional sessions, to surface blockers and align on next steps.
- Synthesizes governance activities, program performance, emerging risks, and key decisions into executive- and board‑ready reports, dashboards, presentations, and updates.
- Establishes and maintains governance records, action plans, decision logs, and audit‑ready documentation practices that support transparency, regulatory readiness, institutional knowledge, and operational continuity. Supports governance portfolio planning, resource forecasting, capacity management, and prioritization to balance reviews, projects, and ad hoc requests against available resources.
- Partners with AIDA leadership to implement strategic initiatives, monitor progress against objectives, and drive execution of enterprise governance priorities.
- Leads cross‑functional efforts to enhance the governance operating model, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and promote consistent adoption of governance processes throughout the AI lifecycle.
What we’re looking for
Must Haves:
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in governance, risk management, compliance, audit, program management, AI governance, or a related discipline
- Experience leading governance processes, operating models, or enterprise‑wide programs involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong executive communication skills, including development of presentations, dashboards, reports, and governance updates.
- Experience establishing metrics, tracking performance, and using data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
Nice to Haves:
- Financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industry experience.
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, regulatory expectations, and risk management practices.
- Experience supporting executive committees, governance councils, or board reporting.
- PMP or other governance, risk, or project management certifications.
