Job summary

Makai Labs is hiring a Project Manager to own delivery of enterprise AI automation projects from planning through rollout. You’ll work with engineers, designers, product, client services, and client stakeholders to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

This role is about what happens after the meetings: ensuring every decision, action item, and risk has an owner, and following up until each one is closed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience on client-facing software or technology projects.
• Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, including presenting status to executives.
• Experience with Jira, Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SaaS, AI, or ML projects or technical implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and completion of multiple client and platform projects.
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones aligned with the SOW.
• Coordinate cross-functional work across internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain risk and issue logs and flag blockers early with action plans.
• Run client meetings and internal check-ins with clear owners and due dates.
• Coordinate rollout and user adoption, including handoffs to production support.
• Track budget against the SOW and support change orders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, including AI-assisted task automation.
