Job summary

LatchBio seeks an AI Biologist to lead the Peptide Discovery benchmarks. You will set the standard for expert reasoning on complex peptide data, curate diverse real-program datasets, and partner with software engineers to translate scientific judgment into robust, scalable workflows.

You will design end-to-end discovery scenarios spanning target tractability to lead optimization, and you will directly evaluate AI agents against authoritative peptide science criteria, ensuring rigorous,

Qualifications

• PhD in peptide-related field required.
• Senior, hands-on peptide discovery experience.
• Direct experience with at least one: display selection, SPR/BLI or FP kinetics, binding-site mapping by MS/NMR, or peptide developability.

Responsibilities

• Define expert reasoning criteria for peptide discovery questions and write gold-standard answers.
• Design discovery scenarios across tractability to lead optimization.
• Curate datasets from real programs (enrichment, sensorgrams, titrations, MS data).
• Build Python analysis pipelines for enrichment, kinetics, and dose–response with reproducible ground truth.
• Collaborate with software engineers to turn judgment into new workflows.
