Job summary

Databricks is hiring a Solutions Architect to shape the AI native big data landscape. You will lead architecture discussions, run proofs of concept, and collaborate with customers, product teams, and field engineers to implement Databricks platform solutions.

Remote role with Pacific/Mountain time considerations. Expect travel across the region and potential eligibility for bonuses and equity as part of the package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, data science, or pre-sales/consulting.
• Experience building distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in Spark, Hadoop, Kafka; data science/ML tools.
• Willing to travel to customers in your region.
• Desirable: Databricks Certification.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to provide technical leadership on Databricks solutions.
• Consult on big data architectures and run proofs of concept.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects and users to support projects.
• Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks/open-source projects.
