Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Model Risk Advisor (Remote) to promote AI governance, maintain model inventories, and strengthen risk controls. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks, validate models, and drive governance improvements across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Four years of work experience in AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit, information management can be substituted in lieu of a degree in addition to the minimum years of work experience.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles.
• Knowledge of privacy, security, and AI Model governance standards.
• Capable of independently authoring and communicating technical and business information in a variety of formats and explaining complex topics relating to AI Model governance.
• Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to translate technical information into concepts easily understood.
• Experience deploying AI Model governance, Model Risk programs across a large enterprise.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AI governance principles, regulatory compliance and risk management frameworks.
• Ability to lead and influence change within complex organizational structures.

Responsibilities

• Promote awareness and adoption of AI governance policies, standards, and responsible AI practices.
• Maintain inventory of models with ownership, risk ratings, and metadata.
• Assess model risk by complexity, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
• Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks and controls.
• Monitor model performance, governance controls, and KRIs; flag issues.
• Support model validation and testing; document findings and recommendations.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities and risk assessments.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on AI governance and control effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal teams and auditors to ensure governance documentation and address risks.
• Monitor regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk; incorporate into governance practice.
• Identify opportunities to automate governance processes and tools.
