Job summary

Samsara is building an AI/ML team within its Operations group to advance supply chain AI capabilities. You will be among the first AI/ML engineers, shaping models that forecast demand, optimize inventory, and assess supplier risk using real-time IoT data.

You will work across fulfillment, inventory, returns, planning, and finance, partnering with product, hardware, and quality teams to deliver measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in applied data science or ML, ideally in supply chain, operations research, logistics, or manufacturing
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, EE, OR, or related technical field

Responsibilities

• Define the end-to-end AI transformation roadmap for supply chain with stakeholders
• Design, train, validate, and deploy ML models to production with robust MLOps
• Build predictive models to forecast demand, inventory, and supplier risk
• Create features from ERP, IoT, and external datasets; build pipelines
• Deliver production-grade code for batch and real-time inference with monitoring
• Act as AI liaison to Product, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance
• Mentor junior scientists and drive modeling strategy discussions
