Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in AI Native Engineering to lead the design and delivery of scalable AI/ML solutions for Power & Utilities. You will collaborate with diverse client teams to translate business needs into data-driven, production‑ready analytics across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Role emphasizes governance, regulatory alignment, and delivering measurable insights to executives and operators, while mentoring teams and driving change in a fast‑paced, client‑facing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6-10 years of AI, data science, and/or ML experience.
• 2-4 years of experience managing technical teams.
• Strong Python skills.
• Experience designing production AI/ML solutions on a major cloud platform.
• Proficient in Generative AI models and frameworks (OpenAI, Dall‑e, Langchain, RAG).
• Experience with NLP and deep learning.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps), Jira, and CI/CD pipelines for developing, deploying, and scaling analytical solutions.
• Knowledge of MLOps, data ingestion, transformation, and evaluation.
• Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication and travel willingness.
• Experience delivering analytics or AI solutions in asset‑intensive environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstream delivery and project management.
• Improve processes through research and analysis.
• Manage professionals and supervise teams to deliver initiatives and outcomes.
• Engage with clients and lead workstreams end‑to‑end.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and manage engagement economics.
• Design and deliver AI/ML use cases for Power & Utilities (e.g., asset health, outage prediction, regulatory analytics).
• Work with utility data sources (SCADA, AMI, GIS, Maximo, OMS, CIS) and integrate into analytics platforms.
• Support moving AI solutions from pilots to production while meeting regulatory and governance requirements.
