Job summary

Rula is seeking an Engineering Manager for AI/ML to guide a senior/staff engineering team in delivering user-facing features such as transcript summarization and advanced search relevance. You will architect and scale the core AI/ML infrastructure, including feature stores and AI observability platforms, while maintaining rigorous safety and compliance practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering and machine learning experience.
• 3+ years of direct engineering management experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading ML infrastructure (feature stores, pipelines, observability).
• 2+ years directing production AI features (LLM, NLP, search, relevance).
• Proven track record delivering both user-facing features and backend infra.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI engineering team to deliver user-facing features like transcript summarization and search relevance.
• Architect and scale core AI/ML infrastructure (feature store, observability).
• Coach engineers with candid feedback and focus on safe scaling and compliance.
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform investments.
