Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Sr. Manager, AI Lead - Semantic Layer to own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise semantic data.

Lead ontologies and data models, drive adoption across business units, and mentor product teams in a remote environment across the United States. Collaborate with business and IT leaders to connect data, concepts, and AI-driven experiences while aligning with governance and enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Business, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of product management experience, including data or data platform products.
• 3+ years leading teams or enterprise programs.
• End-to-end ownership of products, with strategy, roadmap, delivery, and performance measurement, preferably in insurance or regulated industry.
• Experience with ontologies, semantic data models, or knowledge graphs across domains.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data systems, data platforms, or data integration initiatives.
• Ability to translate business concepts into structured data models for data-driven products.
• Strong understanding of data ecosystems, governance, and definitions across domains.
• Experience enabling AI/ML or analytics use cases through well-structured data.
• Experience mentoring product managers or cross-functional teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise semantic data and data connectivity across domains.
• Partner with business and IT to identify high-value data opportunities and standardize data.
• Act as product owner; ensure adoption, measurable outcomes, and customer value.
• Lead ontologies, taxonomies, and data models for enterprise use.
• Collaborate with data engineering, EA, and AI/ML teams to translate concepts into scalable implementations.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle: discovery to delivery and iteration.
• Establish data governance standards, definitions, and quality expectations.
• Mentor and grow the product-management team and drive cross-functional collaboration.
