Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to advise OEM customers and partners on AI-ready data center infrastructure. You will bridge engineering and sales teams, shaping solutions around cooling, high-density power, racks, and PDU architectures for AI deployments.

Ideal candidates combine deep data center expertise with strong executive presence, ability to lead workshops, and experience working with server OEMs and hyperscalers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of experience within the data center industry.
• Experience with Data center infrastructure manufacturers, Critical power providers, or Server OEMs.
• Expertise in data center critical infrastructure such as liquid cooling infrastructure, integrated rack solutions, Rack PDUs, Rack thermal solutions, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure vendors such as Vertiv, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Rittal, nVent, Legrand, STULZ, Munters, Motivair, or similar providers.
• Experience designing or supporting AI/HPC deployments from an infrastructure, cooling, power, or rack perspective rather than solely server, storage, or networking architecture.
• Strong customer-facing technical sales experience.
• Ability to lead both executive and engineering-level conversations.
• Experience supporting channel partners, integrators, and strategic alliances.
• Familiarity with AI workloads, HPC environments, and edge deployments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for OEM and enterprise customers evaluating AI infrastructure deployments.
• Lead customer-facing technical discussions, workshops, and whiteboarding sessions focused on AI-ready data center environments.
• Partner with sales teams to understand customer requirements and develop tailored infrastructure strategies.
• Engage with CIOs, CTOs, IT leaders, facilities teams, and engineering organizations to align infrastructure solutions with business objectives.
• Support strategic opportunities involving greenfield and brownfield AI data center deployments.
