Job summary

TrueNet Communications is seeking an AI Data Center Engineer to design and implement high-density AI/HPC rack and cage infrastructure for data centers across North America. You will develop detailed layouts, cabling plans, and BOMs while coordinating with customers, OEMs, and field teams.

Responsibilities include supporting Lenovo NVIDIA platform deployments, ensuring proper power, cooling, and connectivity, and maintaining accurate as-built documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years in OSP/ISP, telecommunications engineering, data center infrastructure, structured cabling, or network deployment.
• CCNA or comparable networking certification preferred.
• Experience with Central Office, Hut, Cabinet, colocation, hyperscale, enterprise data center, or AI/HPC infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for transport networks and AI data centers, including equipment layouts and cabling.
• Engineer high-density AI/HPC rack and cage infrastructure, including GPU connectivity and compute fabrics.
• Support Lenovo NVIDIA platforms, addressing rack connectivity, power distribution, cooling, and installation needs.
• Interpret diagrams, surveys, customer specs, and OEM docs to determine placement and material needs.
• Prepare engineering packages with BOMs, MOPs, diagrams, and as-built records.
• Design copper and fiber infrastructure (LC, MPO/MTP, OSFP/QSFP, Cat6A) per standards.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, data center operators, PMs, and field teams.
• Provide technical support during installation and turn-up; maintain redline/as-built docs.
