Avalara is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead modernization and AI-driven automation of customer onboarding workflows across five business lines. You will shape the onboarding program roadmap, partner with product and engineering, and drive scalable internal platforms while ensuring strict data integrity and compliance.

You will bridge operations, product, and engineering to replace manual handoffs with smart automations, dashboards, and real-time performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in a technical discipline.
• Experience leading large-scale cross-functional workflow optimization programs.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled workflows and automation.

Responsabilités

• Lead onboarding modernization and modernization roadmap across multiple pipelines.
• Architect AI-first workflow automation integrating LLMs, OCR, RPA, and agentic workflows.
• Define metrics, dashboards, and observability for onboarding processes.
• Translate operational requirements into technical specifications and epics for engineering teams.
• Establish governance for automated workflows including validation and escalation protocols.
