Avalara, an AI-first cloud compliance company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to orchestrate multi-jurisdiction engagements across client services. You will drive end-to-end delivery, maintain governance, and collaborate with Data Consultants, Tax Analysts, and Sales to resolve escalations.

You will leverage AI tools to summarize statuses, draft client updates, and improve operational speed while ensuring accuracy and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in project management, client service delivery, or professional services coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple client projects, timelines, deliverables, and solve problems to keep projects moving forward.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with experience managing executive and cross-functional relationships.
• Experience using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and enterprise AI tools for basic daily tasks.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for multi-jurisdiction client portfolios.
• Manage client relationships and governance with structured communication rhythms and prompt follow-up.
• Enforce project scope and ensure timely data, taxability confirmations, and reviews.
• Maintain real-time system documentation in Salesforce, Certinia, and Google Drive with weekly updates.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Data Consultants, Tax Analysts, State Tax Authorities, CAMs, and Sales.
• Leverage AI tools to draft structured client updates and synthesize action items.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose automation opportunities to tech and operations teams.
• Assist internal teams with testing and feedback for new tools and workflows.
• Refine and document SOPs, kickoff templates, and status-report frameworks.
